Mission Statement

SCAR was created in 2020 to give the homeless dogs and cats of the Panhandle a second chance. We rescue animals from the high kill shelters across the region and place in loving foster homes. Once there, they are provided veterinary care, spayed or neutered, fully vaccinated, and microchipped ready for a new forever home. We are staffed completely by volunteers, we rely on them, our fosters, and donations to continue our work.
